Why shop online?

I remember when the whole .com thing started. Shopping online was supposed to be the "biggest thing". I don't know about you but quite frankly it freaked me out. It was just weird and I didn't want to trust these people you could not see to take my credit card information and do as they pleased with it. It was new and scary to me. I wasn't ready for it. So I waited and wondered, why would people buy on-line and give their information to a stranger and then pay shipping when they could just go to the store and get it right then and there and not have to pay shipping or wait or worry about their credit card information (as much). By the way I have no patience so the part about getting it "right now" is totally me. Yes it is a fault of mine.

Well look at me now. How silly I was. Shopping online is the greatest thing! I mean who has time to go to the mall? They are only open from 10am - 8 or 9pm and after working all day that is the last place I want to go. Shopping online is fantastic! You can be in your p.j's at midnight and find the perfect dress or that funky pair of ballet flats you have been ogling. With so many companies offering free shipping or discounted shipping it is so worth it! Credit card security is almost guaranteed anywhere you would "want" to shop and with our busy life styles it just makes sense. If you have a friend or relative having a baby, but say they live like 5 states away you can just shop online at the A.B. Life is good® Children’s Sweatshirts Recalled by RedEnvelope; Garments Have Drawstrings, Pose Strangulation HazardWASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.
Name of product: Life is good® Children’s Sweatshirts
Units: About 1,200
Importer: Independent Trading Co. of San Clemente, California.
Hazard: The garments have a drawstring through the hood, posing a strangulation hazard to children. In February 1996, CPSC issued guidelines to help prevent children from strangling or getting entangled on the neck and waist by drawstrings in upper garments, such as jackets and sweatshirts.
Incidents/Injuries: None reported.
Description: The recalled sweatshirts have “LIFE IS GOOD” written on the front in sewn-on letters. They were sold in children sizes small (6-8), medium (10) and large (12) with drawstrings through the hood. Sweatshirt colors include dark and light blue.
Sold at: www.RedEnvelope.com from March 2006 through March 2007 for about $35.
Manufactured in: China
Remedy: Consumers should immediately remove the drawstrings from the sweatshirts to eliminate the hazard. Consumers can get information about returning the sweatshirts for a full refund by contacting RedEnvelope Inc.

Where were these when I needed them?

When my boys were in diapers I had an ugly white and blue vinyl changing pad. It came with the ugly diaper bag that I also had. It served it's purpose but was not attractive. Too bad I didn't have one of these! A changing pad with style! It is quilted to provide a soft place to rest your baby while changing. The Roll-up Bummy Pads easily fits in your diaper bag or stroller and even looks great on the changing table. Lay it out and roll it up when finished.
