I love fresh vegetables and fruit. We have a great produce market nearby with really low prices on locally grown fruit and veggies. When they opened I realized how much money I would save if I purchased all of our fruits and veggies at the market instead of our usual large chain grocery store. Unfortunately alot of those veggies went to waste if we didn't eat them fast enough, so the whole idea of saving money was well, just a good idea. How they work The bags absorb the ethelyne gas that is released by the food, which prevents the gas from staying in the fruit, and thus helping your food stay fresher longer. How to use them Produce should be DRY before placing in bag. Simply place fresh produce in bags and wash/rinse produce as usual before use. If storing washed produce, be sure to dry thoroughly before inserting in bag. Use one bag for each type of produce. For instance, use a bag for apples, another one for lettuce, another one for pears, etc. Fold over the top of the bag---do not use twist-ties as they make holes. But, due to lack of sleep, not being educated enough on breastfeeding and unable to find a decent way to track what side, what time or how long they would breastfeed (my babies were "on demand" feeders) it became frustrating for me. I was not looking forward to breastfeeding my next child until I had a logical solution to some of my breastfeeding problems. One night in January of 2005 my sister-in-law called me very upset with the same issues I had faced while nursing and not wanting her to stop breastfeeding I was determined to come up with something and the idea of Milk Bands was born. Milk Bands has already benefited my friends and family and I know that it will help you!"

Isn't it amazing how kids (and adults too) can memorize the words to hundreds of songs but when it comes to learning Math we can barely remember our times tables! When we learned the alphabet, we learned it by singing along to a tune why not do the same to learn our times tables! I love being a Mom. I have friends that don't have kids that call me their birth control. I am serious! It is funny but I can see where they are coming from. Sometimes my kids can drive me up the wall. Like us, kids are not perfect! Meltdowns are common, spilled drinks and an occasional crayon scribble or sharpie (EEK) on the wall are common too! Temper tantrums and fits do come with the territory but there are also many more moments of joy and laughter. These little miniature people can perk you up on a bad day and bring you to tears of laughter! They don't make you want to rip your hair out ALL the time! No matter what kind of day you are having, one look from your little person can make up for all the yucky things that a day can bring! What sparked this post? While visiting family in South Carolina this past Labor Day weekend, my youngest son said " I am going to live forever because I pray a lot and I eat healthy!" That one little phrase made my day! I love being a Mom and I love my kids! I would not trade them for anything in this world!
When Ashley Mohr on behalf of Church & Dwight contacted me to let me know she was sending a slew of products for me to test out I was excited. Little did I know that I would have a new best friend! I am not talking about the human kind I am talking about the "what would I do without this product" kind. Some of the products Ashley had sent I was already familiar with so I dispersed those to my girlfriends in which they will do their own review. There was one teeny tiny product that I had never tried, the Oxi Clean Spray-A-Way Instant Stain Remover. So I kept it. It claimed to "POWER OUT STAINS INSTANTLY" (can you hear that booming commercial voice?). OK so that would be cool! Now it was just a waiting game until a stain occurred. Normally stains occur for me when I wear white so I did. Stains are always occurring when my son Brennan eats or drinks anything but this time, it was like the stains knew I had a tool to fight them and it just wasn't happening. Until the day I put on my brand new white shorts! Let's call this STAIN DAY. My friend Cindy (Cindy don't get mad at me please!) came over with her kids and while hovering with a chip loaded with salsa over my "NO KID" couch (yes I have a no kid couch but don't worry I also have a very friendly kid couch too) she completely missed her mouth and the salsa landed right there on the cushion. AHA! No problemo I have Oxi Clean Spray Away! This little tiny purse size spray bottle covers the entire stain with one spray! Stain instantly disappears and my beautiful straw colored cushion looks brand new. It worked WONDERS later that evening when (still wearing new white shorts) my glass of red wine landed in my lap! White shorts an entire glass of red wine, if this Spray Away Stain Spray works on this it will be my new best friend.
